The problem is the pressure plate loses its tension on the clutch which causes clutch to start to slip it then gradually gets worse hope you get it sorted!

Thanks, hope the new pressure plate lasts a bit longer than this one! Don't want this every few years.

Just spent 2 days cleaning her up too. Fully cleaned the paint, machine polished, paint sealant and wax.

An update or conclusion hopefully.....

So the day before car was booked in for them to look at the clutch, the dealer called to say I didn't need to come in and they would re-book for a clutch change (they must have read the technical journal).

They had the car for 3 days to fit the new clutch kit, which has upgraded friction material and a modified wear adjustment sensor. I was worried that they'd just put exactly the same thing back in.

New clutch is a lot lighter and I must admit feels a lot better. The old clutch always felt a bit... don't really know how to explain.... like you were pulling way with trailer. Just always felt a bit weak.

Pedal now has bit of travel before anything happens, but I've since noticed that my Hilux does too.

Hopefully this one should now last the life of the car....
