Off to caravan rally in Rudesheim Am Rhine in Germany for 2 weeks in August just in time for wine festival. Not been to Germany before. About 680 miles each way plus side trips.
Outfit is 2005 XC90 with 2006 Ace Jubilee Globetrotter.

Sorely tempted to have the scrappers take my poorly 940 and rusty Merc camper. The money would be enough to take my 760 and very special tent down to Cornwall for 3 weeks. No work, no neighbours, ooh lovely!!...

Don`t forget the "Pet Passport" or its quarantine...which might not be a bad thing depending on the type of bird!!! Pick her up on the way back!!

Just phoned the scrappers, they reakon, havent checked it out, that scrap metal is only about £60 a tonne at the mo, and he's offering £160 for the both! Thought I'd get way more than that! Can't drive either of them down to the weighbridge myself, lack of documents, both sorn. Oh well!! Second attempt, got some 'antiques' etc.. to be valued by Sothebys, fingers crossed.........

Thanks, if I get any money together I'll pick your brains about France. Have got friends down in the South, would love to make the trip!
