I'd have to agree with the above, it just looks so much better, to my eye the spoiler gives the rear of the car a 'finished' look.
Having swopped the one off my old 850 to my V70 I can't claim any great handling or fuel economy changes, I suspect they would only really show at speeds well over 50mph, but watching that video link, just a slight change to the shape of the tail light led to a fuel saving, only a few litres, but do that all over the car and it adds up.

Could somebody who knows for sure please give details of spoiler fixings.
How many brackets and how many screws are involved if fiiting a spoiler.

I saw in one ebay ad that there were 3 brackets and five? screws. Also it quoted that Volvo fixing kit is £50. What!! for 3 bkts and 5 screws.

I don't know,There is a guide somewhere on here, but I can't find it. Rufe told me that the kit was about £25. There is no way I would pay £50! I know for a fact I could fit it with a couple of bolts and washers if I had to. Have you got a link to the E-Bay ad so I can have a look??

Having just got myself a 2000 V70 the main thing I wanted was a rear spoiler, apart from the NO mileage, immaculate condition etc. and ignored any V70 without one when I was looking, collected it from south of Reading and drove back to west of Dumfries even though I could have got one a lot closer ... but this one had a spoiler AND was GREEN ! It just looks so much more finished off with the spoiler.

Its been on there for some time (he's also got a bonnet and tailgate), but at £60 delivered I think it makes better sense for me to paint the one I've already got, and then use any left over paint to touch up a few scratches.

I live on a very windy bit of coast, and I don't fancy my chances of spraying the spoiler indoors, so I'll give it a spray over when the weather gets warmer and the winds die down.......we usually get 2 days of summer at the beginning of August up here :-)

Just bought a spoiler to replace my cracked one and I can't figure out how it fits. The one on my car looks to be held on bt just one screw directly through the tailgate and into the spoiler but the replacement from a 98 V70 has a bracket similar to that pictured which doesn't seem to fit? Anyone be good enough to put a picture up of how it should look?

Thanks in advance
