My car came with the polestar upgrade as standard, but the loan car I had immediately prior was standard. The extra shove is noticeable, but the standard engine isn't a laggard.

Nice, but certainly not worth the AUD$1900 I was quoted before I decided on the R-design.

As to insurance, I think I've mentioned before that I saved almost 10% on the XC60 over my 4yo Octavia Scout - I still haven't figured that one out

wow... much better price then I've found so far. My local dealer is quoting £720

why is it more for a new car than an older car? It is the same amount of work for all engines - a software download. Bizarre

Because they can?? I paid less than the £650 they are asking. Nearer the figure Volvorocks mentioned. Just driven 160 miles and it's like having a new car. Worth it IMHO
