Cost to replace turbo??

useful guy to know! in defence of the price i suggested, the transfer box blocks nearly the entire view of the turbo from beneath on mine so I was working blind most of the time!!

Usually when they say they dont know how much it is going to cost they fleece you, ring around a few places and get a price or even a rough price

I know what your saying but i do trust him, He's just not done one before

im in the fortunate position that my mechanic is volvo trained and worked for them for 15 years, so i just ring him and ask how long/how much, he doesnt even look on the computer he just knows lol

the unfortunate thing is if he hasnt done one before he wont know all the ins and outs and ways to save time. so unfortunatly u would be paying for his training with your wallet

Yeah i think this is going to be another steep learning curve for me. I cant risk putting it in to a garage without a set price and from what i've read so far its more fiddly than anything. I think my biggest worry is making sure everything goes back where it came from - hoses etc - oh and lying about on the still freezing ground out there

just looking at flights........will bring tools to do the job and the turbo......lol wheres the best place to fly to........will stuff a suitcase
