Volvo Specialists in Wigan ?

Anyone recommend a company who are familiar with Volvos, but do performance and modifications in the Atherton/Wigan/Leigh area? I work in Atherton during the week and will have my 19T turbo and a few other bits ready to be fitted to the T4 in the next month or so. Will also need it remapped as soon as possible after the turbo has been done...!

It may have just been one or 2 of them, I remember when I very first came to Wigan I was job hunting as a fitter/mechanic, when I asked in there they were very blunt, no in fact damn right rude and ignorant, next time I went in just to ask about a button on my Traction control, all I needed was a yes or no answer, id have even given the fitter a drink, but "You must make an appointment"


Another time a forum member on here or VPCUK popped over to me for me to read his codes, but my OBD code reader wouldnt link up for some weird reason so while he was over here he popped in there, they were apparently very short with him and wanted a lot of money, something like 60 notes and an appointment to just try it, it just seemed like there attitude stunk, dont get me wrong Ive worked in lots of garages and some miserable places too, i didnt expect anything for nothing, I was polite, but they just seemed like a bunch of misoggs, as I said it might have been my accent, who knows.


That classic Volvo spares in higher Ince, he is a lovely guy, cant do enough for you, just shows the contrast of different people, another miserable bastid allthough I think he has changed hands now was that garage on the top of Bickershaw lane near the lights in Platt bridge, I have seen happier people at funerals, I asked him about his trade ins if he wanted to do business, with scrap as well, he looked over the top of his glasses at me like I had 3 heads, no need to be rude like that, saying that the prices he marked his old bangers up was comical to say the least, 15 year old Cavaliers for 1500 quid???

Yeah the guy in higher ince was great, shame he's not there any more, I used to virtualy live there at one point,lol.

Have seen the other garage but I've never been in, they seem to think because they're in a bit of a rundown area they can charge what the hell they like and people will pay it.

Have to meet up at some point mate if your so close.

Yeah I use to live in Platt Bridge but now Bamfurlong, just past the cop shop, on the left on the way to Ashton, you can see my recovery truck from the main Rd in the back Yard

I think he is still there but on rare occasions, a few times ive been there and its seemed derelict but then Ive gone back and he is open, he still selling stuff on Ebay, unless he has upped stix?

I know the last time I spoke to him he wasn't sitting in the unit all day he was just selling stuff through Ebay, wasn't sure if he still had the unit though as that was a few years ago now.

Ive been there since then, its not open like a shop like old, its got a phone number up for him, Ive emailed the man himself to ask if he is still there, I gonna resurrect my T5 next week and may need a few bits n bobs so he may come in handy, dont suppose youve got any 850 bits 4 sale bud?
