Now that I don't know.. I have never compared the batteries in cars with and without a spare.. I assume it's a same battery.. I could get the part number off the battery this evening for you guys to compare, unless someone else has the answer before..

Can I reverse the question and ask how much would the cost be for the the foam kit and compressor? There is definitely space in the styrofoam for them, especially if you already have the temp wheel.

Tyre fitters hate dealing with punctured tyres filled with foam, more often than not they will simply say, tyres knackered mate you need a new one, which usually then means buying two, instead of having to clean the gunk out of the tyre and rim and repairing a puncture.

I think different dealers charge slightly different prices as the Volvo accessories site will not give a price until you select a dealer, the price I gave earlier was from a dealer in York, just a random pick.

Thanks. So better stick with the spare wheel and not bother adding more waste with the pump and the foam. Makes sense.

Just got a quote for mine, the spare wheel kit is £275 + £70 fitting. VAT included.

For reference it's on a V60 and installed after delivery.

You don't need it fitted it just goes in the boot and comes with all the plastic to fit in the existing slot.
Don't let them rip you off £70!

Yeah I haven't agreed to it yet as I'm not entirely sure what they are "fitting"
