In to the garage for a diagnostic today and its booked in next week for a cam position sensor.
Will then put it in for MOT and offer it to a wider audience, perhaps have the door fettled and painted too.

*Edit to add....
while it was in yesterday they made an adjustment to the fuel trim using the software so the car now starts, idles and runs fine.

To answer a few questions....the plan for the car is likely to be - in on Friday to rectify the recurring uneven idle (though it is currently idling faultlessly)...theres also a very faint whine from the power steering so that will be investigated and resolved too.....I'll then call in to the nearby bodyshop to get a price to remove the dent and repaint the lower part of the nsr door.
I'll then put 12 months MOT on, give her a full detail and try to decide between... A. Offering it to the wider audience as one of the best examples available... B. Keep it and use it as the second car....wincing as I avoid the many potholes and the many ****ing morons on these narrow and mashed lanes...which is unfortunately the main reason for selling. or C. Buy a Rav4/Skoda Yeti/Subaru Forester to handle the rough stuff and keep the T5 as a third car for only occasional use....though I can't visualise much of that in reality... Its handy that I'm in no hurry to sell and that the MOT has a good few weeks to run, so I can make a considered decision.

On a selfish note, i would want you to keep it, as i fear it wont get looked after in the same manner as it is now. In your ownership it will inevitably go up in value and end up being one of only a few near mint examples left on the road.

First £2000 takes it. Space urgently needed.

Message received but if you're unable to receive my reply....
I've no time to MOT it, sorry. If I had, I'd be offering it at a significantly higher price. Its done just 1526 miles since last MOT and you've got a couple of months before it is due in any case. Its had work done since then and the only outstanding thing is the Camshaft position sensor which brings on the EML and will occasionally cause an uneven idle, though its running perfectly fine right now. Theres a foglight bulb out and the bootlid requires new rams fitting which I will include. As far as I'm aware, thats it and she currently drives very nicely.
