Billy - for interest its a trailer-tent. I've had two over the years and strangely the first rode far better than the brand new we followed it up with. The latter gave a very yumpy ride, as if it had failed shockers, but it didn't have shox! To this day I wish I still had the early one, especially as we re-canvassed it when it was so perished it began to leak. It ended up with Glastonbury tourists.
If you find one you like, ask for a test-tow over less than perfect roads (thats easy....) and ask a technical question, like does it have rubber-in-torsion suspension. My first had Indespension trailer stub-axles like I have on my home-made box trailer, and that rides fine too, empty or full. As I've had that for well over 30 years and its still fine that must say something. Paul |

Hi billy, it's a chateau mobile from 1965
I picked it because of its size when folded up quite small and tows mint. If you go on face book the owners club is on https://www.facebook.com/groups/chateaumobileowners/ Last edited by jeff t; Aug 16th, 2016 at 19:27. |

They are lovely, I've got the itch now but I see they are relatively rare?

Billy - a bit like caravans and motor-homes this time of year I fear. If you can wait until autumn/winter those without storage space or needing cash may advertise theirs.
For interest our second was made by Dandy from the Wigan area I think, but I read they had succumbed or been bought-out. Paul |
