well since im in amongst exams at this present time i am unable to change my glts diff plate (so rotten its become porous and loosing axle fluid) so ive been down to the garage i work at and the mechanice there is ordering me a new one (genuine of course) and he'll have it fitted when it comes in

once thats done i need to give it a full valet, fit the glt badge and plug sat nav back in etc. then simply get there actually stayed in that hotel before so its easy to get to. am hoping my glt doesnt have any issues with travelling down the A9! furthest its been since mot is inverness!

kevin im hoping/assuming your glt will be there too! anyone else bringing a 240?!

looking promising now for me making this, only thing is if car fails but it should be ok... only a touch over 100 miles to stirling from here

hope to see everyone there

watch out for the shiney silver glt estate and a teenager not your average boy racer!

Nick

Will try to make it as well. Just added another addition to the collection so all going well I will bring that, Its a Red 1967 1800S. Needs a fair bit of work but that's part of the fun. Going to use it over the weekend and see how everything goes. She wasn't charging when I got her home but hopefully fixed now. Window wiper motor works when it wants to so if I cant fix it and its wet I will give the 244 a run out this time

Well the article in the latest 'Driver' about the proposed meet in Stirling has attracted attention, I have had an irate phone call from a VOC member in Glasgow asking why I picked Stirling as a venue !!, after all he would have to travel 30 miles to attend. I duly informed him that members were prepared to travel from Elgin, Oban, Jedburgh, Carlisle, and all points in between to attend, I should have asked him if he had a big living room and we could have all gathered at his place !

Simon,

'Tea and bickies' is Peter Milnes as far as I am aware.

Cool

Kev240,

Great to see someone using a bit of initiative to get things kicked off again. After your initial post I started a related thread on the 480 Forum (being a Celeb owner myself) advertising the 'event', so hopefully a few of my brethren will make it on the day.

I'm hoping to make it down and look forward to seeing you all on the day.

Thanks

Roge1
