Lol blonde moment there, was in a rush, will check if mine has a red circle tonight hah

Wouldn't I be able to block the hole in the intercooler or are they completely different?

If your Intercooler has gone buddy, you'll need a new one tbh. They are do-able, but a right PITA to change unless you're really good at spannering so to speak.

I bought 1 of ebay from budget radiators and fitted yesterday together with new condenser as both were "kaput" Cant tell intercooler is very well or bad built. Seems decent quality. Brackets perfectly match original. I hope it will last long enough and wont split. Seller provides 2 years warranty so just decided to give a go for that one.
Wouldn say its hard work to replace. A little time consuming true but there is access to all the bolts/screws so you wouldnt struggle.
PITA can be some rusty bolts but the rest is fine. No rush just do it. You dont even need to drain coolant.

....... and you need the correct coolant.
Genuine Volvo HOAT coolant is green not clear.
Are you running your cooling system with water?

Yes, mine looks black in the header tank, but its dark green.

Wonder if it's that cheap clear stuff you can buy in ASDA he's got in there. I'd drain that out and get some proper stuff in.

Seeing as your water pump's been done, I'd be flushing (not just draining) the cooling system properly and get the right stuff in, it's only £22 from a main dealer and you can get deionized water for a fiver so you can then forget about it for 10 years for less than £30.
I've done a video for my D5 but the method applies to pretty much any car.
