Did you repeat the test with the injectors unplugged as Tony suggested?

Attached to the fuel rail/flute but electrical connectors removed.

I see, so there must be a problem with the injector trigger wire or the ECU.
You need to now unplug the fuel ECU and check the resistance of the injector trigger wire to chassis ground. The ECU is behing the drivers kick panel right foot (UK right hand drive), remove the door rubber and sill plastic and slide the kick panel out towards you. You then need to remove the ECU retaining bracket. If your car is 96 or later you will need to cut a slot in the ECU retaining bolt to unscrew it, or some way of removing this security bolt. Test the resistance in one of the injector plugs. There are 2 pins, 1 should be 12V (with ignition on), the other is the trigger from the ECU. The trigger should be open circuit. If you find it is closed to ground then you need to find a short on the wire (its s fat grey wire usually). If the wire is ok without the ECU plugged in then it must be the ECU (output component has failed). Very rare for it to fail, but possible. Last edited by TonyS9; Feb 18th, 2020 at 12:11. |

I'd also mention that I don't know how the LPG connections will affect injector firing, as Dave says the injectors should not be spraying, but maybe there is a fault on the LPG system if its connected to the injector trigger wire for some reason. OR maybe the LPG conversion was a botch (bad) job.
I think this explains the fuel in the oil, but I am surprised the car runs atall without lots of warning lights, fault codes, massive fuel use etc. |
