  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

I know what you mean about the age thing. I look in the engine bay and without a light think "erm . . . it's here somewhere" but even so the main beam on new reflectors is good and it gradually deteriorates to pitiful (a bit like our eyesight!). Can't help wondering if your lights are past their best though.

I think that the reflectors are getting a little tired, the left one especially, (more bronze than silver).
The lenses were pretty bad too , on the insides, but I managed to dismantle the lamps and clean them up with washing-up liquid, hot water, and a toothbrush to get ito the grooves (don't tell my daughter tho' it was her toothbursh!) Horrified at the green gundjy colour of the bowl full of water I washed them in.
Perhaps I'll have to think about a pair of new reflectors, I know that you can get them from one of the club's suppliers or a company I've seen on this forum somewhere.

I've been surprised that even a reflector that looks ok is not anywhere near as good as a new one.
