I've been running them on 32 psi initially, but took it up to 34psi a while ago but didn't want to go any higher as I understood that the middles would wear then.

From what I've read on the internet, the tyres are still legal but am I right in thinking that the bare section will run hotter thus risking a blow out?

yeah 17's ... had 18's but the ride and dynamics is better on 17's - Mines on a hard set up so I need the compliancy to save on Chiropractor bills!

CC3's were about 110 a corner.

If 40mm is worn below 1.6mm then they are illegal. Only the inner and outer 1/8th of the contact width can be below 1.6mm. For yours to be legal, the contact width would have to be at least 320mm which means you would have to have 350/45/18's on!

ive just found this today - livid.

i didnt even realise that the tyre pressures had to be that high!

checked my pressures after a month of owning the car - 25psi
put it up to 33
then another month - back up to 33
then today from 31 to 38.

new tyres on saturday yaaay..

im going for federal formoza fd2s to try them out, ive heard they are as good as the falkens i currently have but much cheaper..

Hi guys, had my two front tyres replaced today and had the tracking sorted. I opted for Michelin Pilot Sports, I've only driven around seven miles on them but from that short drive I've noticed they're far less twitchy and less prone to tramlining than the Falkens. I'll know better after driving them for a bit.

Cheers guys

I'm not sure anythings wrong, it's a car that likes front tyres.
Yes, I have Pirelli pZero 215 45 18 & it just eats them on my car... I am no Jenson Button either but on my 3rd set of fronts & 2nd rears with 45k miles on the clock... it is just the sport set up & the nature of the beast I think..

I have 235/40/18 Kumho on KU39's on ours. All ok at 33psi. The pirelli's originally on rears had owrn badly around inside edges so
we put a pair of part worn conti's on which wore evenly.

I would say that 15000miles of spirted driving is good. If driving like miss daisy
all the time more.

I've probably missed it, but did you get a wheel alignment done. Sounds like the tracking is out - and is repeatable.
