Think I might give this(http://www.satnav-updates.com/volvo-...20121-40-p.asp) company a try too as my 2012 disc also fell down a drain.

SatNav upgrade
Hi all, took the plunge and bought an 07 SE LUX. Impressed thus far but would like to update the satnav. One minor issue is I've not managed to work out how to eject the discs. A bit mire googling and I'm sure I'll resolve that.
What I do need advice on is the current setup, about tells me the info below. How old is my setup and what is the best update path? Ianhw pn 0030752407 ad Sw pn 0031215600 aa Msp pn 31210335 ab Sw ver 000001498/02270 Map ver aeu_06_200601m cheers Ian |

Meant to add I'm slightly confused by the under seat hardware. It has a pull down front but contained no disc yet is fully functioning. Is this a hdd system or a dvd system? Logic suggests an hdd with dvd tray for updates but the salesman said otherwise (not a volvo dealer).

Just recently got off Ebay for Christmas Genuine Original Volvo 2013 Discs for my 2008 XC90 for under £40.
You just need to check there for the right age as they made a set of discs I think for cars up to 2006 and then another set for the later years. This should help, Look at Compatibility: http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...mpTo=OfferList Took about an hour and a half, dead easy to do, just leave the sat nav open and as the cars engine turns on and off when you are using the Car it continues on from where it left. Followed the DVD's and I am away. No disc in mine as it was the Original Version. Make sure the Sat Nav is popped up and it is in Advanced Mode. Push the lower section of the DVD Player down, insert the DVD and push back up the lower section and follow the instructions on the Sat Nav Screen, it tells you when to put Disc 2 in and when it is all complete you leave Disc 1 in full time. As I say easy peasy. Last edited by AleXc90; Jan 5th, 2014 at 02:39. |
