Hey
That's super - a real step by step guide for me, much appreciated. I just took the car out for a little drive locally - and on roads I know it's actually much better. Still has play, but not as drastic as it felt yesterday. I'll give it all a check over when I have some time and go from there. Again - thanks everyone! |

Hey everyone
Thought I'd come back and update this thread now I've had a chance to actually look at the car without torrential rain or darkness. Everything looks good! I didn't like the look of the rubber doughnut thing so I replaced that, but nothing seems loose/tired and I think I was just not used to how an old car with a steering-box should feel. I think the tyres were a bit low on pressure too. I did a few miles in the car over the weekend - and I'm starting to realise that it's a delight. Yes it's a bit perculiar in the way it steers, but I think the more I drive it the more I'll get used to it - and it's super relaxing and surprisingly quiet. Thanks again for all the help!
