and if you value the lives of other road users
you should only work on your car if qualified at mechanicking

Ho hum, now it's off to weld the cracks in my mags

Don't worry, the bolt in question is a 10.9 tensile item as opposed to your common all garden 8.8, I'm not that daft, Also used some red loctite that I borrowed from work, not sure which one it is, all I know is that it's red and comes in what looks like a pritt stick tube, also takes some serious beans to undo things that have been stuck with it, we use it to stick m4 grub screws in air motors, I have broken Allen keys before trying to undo them, it won't move, plus I was an apprentice mechanic for 2 years when I left school back in 2000, I'm more than capable

Plus that article quoted above? What a load of horse poo, copyright? It's not a pirate DVD, how on earth would modding consititite copyright? Yeah maybe if you made a copy of the car that was of inferior quality and sold it as the real thing dirt cheap, but other than that nope, makes zero sense to me.

The pads I bought for the rear brakes came with 4 new bolts complete with thread locking compound.

They were Bendix branded from GSF.

Although bendix was a big name in brake parts there is always a notice on the packet saying the name is used under license (although I'm not sure if that applies to the honeywell part or both bendix / honeywell).

They seem okay if not fantastic.

Brakes on the car are still rubbish but I tried an emergency stop and there was much less abs and screeching going on than before I replaced my suspect rear calliper. The emergency stop firmed up the brake pedal from its slightly spongy state as well.

For improving your handbrake travel, assuming your levers are on their stops, I would recommend finding a steep hill and doing some firm/sharp braking as you go down it. Seemed to work for me.
