  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

simple i was trying to have a laugh with u lot but obviously u lot class me as an outsider so have requested my account to be closed will get info i need elsewhere

I have seen them piggy back resistors before, the only way I can see how they work is its like running your car from cold but keeping the fueling the same ie keep it running rich, you will use more fuel and when the engine warms up i would have thought the mix would be wrong, its like the old days, running a car with the choke on while its warm, its a crude mod if you ask me, better off spending your money on a MBC or bleed valve on a turbo, most N/A cars gain very little performance from a remap anyway, its more for economy and maybe smoother running, I will eat my words if someone can prove these things actually give you 25bhp!

how does the piggy back resistor work on a diesel then?

That one wouldnt work on a diesel (one in the link) for petrol cars

apart from anything else what about balancing the engine? porting the head? matching exhaust port sizes? inlet port matching?

iv ported my ballance and turbo`d the input shaft on mine....goes like buggery!
