WOW... now that looks like a job for one of my long weekends... & you know what, I'm looking forward to the task... lol

Thank You for the Links Des...

Some very very good info and advise there... even where to get a matrix and how much it's likely to cost...

I know a few people who have sold or scrapped their cars because of a leaking heater matrix... that certianly isn't going to be the case for my S90 Exec... had her 4 yrs & it's not just a car, it's part of me now... lol

Thanks again Des... you're a ...!

Hi,

There are also a few photos etc in my 940 sleeper project topic.
See the projects section. Be prepared to weep!

thanks very much Des, just spent the last half hour reading the 'Sleeper' post... looks a mammoth task swapping the Matrix... never the less, it's got to be done, My rear passenger side carpet is only slightly damp so I may have caught it before it got too bad...

I can't source anyone who can supply the Matrix locally so I'll give the supplier in that link you so helpfully posted a ring and get one ordered... In the mean time I've by-passed the heater matrix & heater control valve, which I also noticed was weeping, until I get the new parts...

I've done a few matrix replacements on Cars, Landrover Discoveries and Transit vans, and I think the S90 shouldn't be too bad to do as there is plenty of room to get in, I recon I could have it done in a day if my dad doesn't keep pestering me to give him a hand in the service bay (but I doubt that very much), I might even do the job at my friends body shop because I know he'll leave me to it, and he's got room in his re-fit unit... I suppose I'm lucky I've got places to do this kind of work, I wouldn't fancy doing it outdoors like you did...
