  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

As said, normal 8mm spanner is best, 20 mins max job done.

Once the bolts were loosened on mine, they unscrewed very easily. A neglected car might be harder if the bolts remain tight.

I hope I'm not teaching people to suck eggs but I suppose you all know that the bonnet can go vertical if you shift the stop clips at the hinges, gives you that little bit more room for a job like this.

That sounds about right, it took me 25 mins or so .....I was able to unscrew by hand once the bolts were loosened......just not the most enjoyable job in the world.

I didn't know about that bonnet trick ......thanks mate.
