Well, if you really wanted a beige car, this is a good 'un:

Not going to sell at half that price though...

Another lovely day in paradise.

:-)
That 240 saloon attracted just one (early) bid of £2,000, and so appears to have sold, which means either:
a. The seller priced it just right, it attracted just the right buyer early on, everyone is happy, the lambs danced in the fields and there was a rainbow.

b. The seller's mate Freddy from down the pub submitted a £2,000 bid early on to get the auction moving, no one else bid...
I have a feeling it may have been 'b.' - if so we'll see it again soon.

Another lovely day in paradise.

I wonder why someone has put an £8k tag on that £3,000 motor car?

:-)

Scouser '89 estate, crusty arches but otherwise presentable. £2650 asked:

Big shrug, at least it's almost sensible money, just don't fancy the welding needed...

....and this '83 GLE is 18 months off historic:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115491382495
Seller has been auctioning it unsucessfully for ages, appears to have named their price.... £2.7k. Interesting to see how that falls further as historic date gets nearer...

Scraped through first MOT since 2014 last year. Low-ish mileage.

Now this may be what I'm looking for - the RB type experience again. It will qualify for free tax in Apr 24, and won't need another MoT after June next year.

It is 160 miles away, but has a bit of MoT left, so could be driven back. I suppose collecting would only cost about £200 in that case (if the crook train drivers can be bothered to show up for work that day).

Addendum: I've just noticed (unless my eyesight is failing me) it seems to have a carburettor - so it is perhaps a GLE in badge only.

This one clearly had something of a rest between 2014 and last year, someone probably realised it was getting close to historic vehicle age and so worth more than a grand as scrap, it had a pretty chequered history prior ro that and clearly has not been very well cared for:

PS. I suppose the recorded mileage may be taken with a pinch of salt. Perhaps it did cover 46,000 miles between 1983 and 1985, but then only 43,000 more in the next 37 years. Perhaps the speedometer cable was slightly defective and kept coming loose between MoTs (I have heard of that happening with a long-term owner previously).
