A couple of pics from when I put the Galaxies on my CD estate and transferred its Auriga wheels to my Wentworth. May not be as bling as the Barzettas, but they’re Volvo OEM so no problem with insurance, fitment, finding the right wheel nuts, etc.

Those Aurigas are a nice wheel. Not too in your face. I saw some on a white 245 in summer , they did look well!😀

Baggy, you're a star! Thanks for the links - to both the wheels and that gorgeous car.
Re that car - wow, I love that car, so glad its a saloon for a change too! I'm stunned that he's managed to fit 17x8.5s onto his 940, but they do look awesome I'd have thought they'd be a bit tight at the back, but the front... that must be rubbing surely ??? I think I'll play safe and go with 17x7s. Also, they're not made in the correct hub fitting - they supply hub rings with the wheels, but they're plastic, so I'll need to get some metal ones to be safe. I'm sure the insurers will baulk at plastic hub rings. They won't be happy that I'm fitting over £1k worth of aftermarket wheels on the car! So thats it, the wheels have been found, thanks to Baggy. All because he wants to take out the competition Looks like my flexible friend might have to get a bit more flexible Luckily, I had an email from my credit card company last week offering 0% for a year. The planets are aligning...

Forgot to mention, I have actually managed to do some work on the 940, despite the alloy wheel distraction!
I've removed the old Kenwood radio that was fitted - not my cuppa at all, and fitted the new austere Blaupunkt DAB Skagen head unit. It certainly looks the part That pic was taken when I test fitted it, hence its not sitting all the way 'home'. I was going to install the DAB antenna as well, but it was quite cold (4 degrees) so I decided to wait until its a bit warmer - I don't want to snap any plastic tags off the back of the interior plastic trim, as I'll need to pull a few sections off to run the cable behind them. I'd forgotten about the non functioning front door speaker, so thats something I'll look at over the Christmas break - I have a spare set of speakers on some door cards that I bought a while ago. The head unit sounds the part, but I think I'll need to fit speakers to the rear parcel shelf sooner rather than later - the difference in sound quality between the 850 and the 940 is astonishing - the 940 is so flat, it has no roundness of sound and needs the extra bass that the parcel shelf speakers will give. We interrupt this transmission... Just been offered a set of 'mint' Gemini complete with caps... aaarrrrghh.

The Gemini are the cheaper option overall, as they'll have smaller tyres and no impact on the insurance.
But I'm in love with the Barzetta Star. I never was a cheap date

The 7 inch wide ones do have a lot less dish to them:
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/00...g?v=1669613627 https://images.finncdn.no/dynamic/96..._231230855.jpg vs the 8.5 ones: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/00...g?v=1669613626 https://cdn3.dumpor.com/view?q=%3DMS...2Yz9yL6MHc0RHa I'll try and ask the owner of that estate if they rub anywhere. The dish is also diamond cut like modern wheels, so corrision can be an issue. Geminis it is!

Thanks Baggy!
Its good to see them on a few 940s - they can't be causing too many issues. The general consensus appears to be that the 17x8.5s will fit fine with 225 tyres The 7s don't look bad either to be fair and might be a safer option... I was playing with my tool last night (no, my spreadsheet lol) and the Barzettas will cost an extra £400 overall vs the Gemini. Thats excluding any insurance surcharge... so the difference is significant - its a set of tyres for the Geminis in fact. I guess my dilemma now is - How much better do I think the Barzettas are vs the Gemini... Knowing that the Gemini will be so much less hassle (they're an hours drive away, cheaper, no insurance issues, cheaper tyres, the car remains all OEM...). But the Barzettas are STUNNING My head hurts, but I'll have to make a decision soon. The seller of the Gemini is in no rush, but I don't want to keep him hanging - thats not fair.

Decision made. Gemini wins. Yes I'm surprised as well
While I absolutely love the Barzettas, there are a number of things going against them besides those listed above. * They are a bit on the bling side, and I suspect they would attract the wrong kind of attention around here If the car wasn't nicked, it'd get keyed - because that what people do around here when they're envious sadly. * The 17" tyres won't ride as well as the Gemini which are 16s. * My insurance will increase substantially upon renewal. I know this from previous experience sadly. Non OEM wheels makes a car more attractive to thieves apparently. * The Barzettas will decrease in value whereas the Gemini will hold their value and possibly even gain in value over time. So my head wins out over my heart. I'll have the Barzettas on a future resto-mod 960/S90 (shhh - don't tell the wife ) I found this pic which shows Geminis on a 940. While they don't look as jaw dropping as the Barzettas, they're still rather nice Star design, nice and chunky and with a hint of a dish... 205/55x16 tyres are so cheap!!! Michelin Cross Climates for £80 edit - oops, didn't realise the pic was so big sorry

This will be the last post regarding which wheels I'll eventually go for - its been a bit of an epic sorry. Thanks again to Baggy and Dai for their help and advice - and patience
In the end it was SWMBO that decided - when I came to discuss the date to buy/collect the Gemini wheels she asked to see the pics again... and said she didn't like them ! So I've let the seller know, and have ordered the Barzetta Star alloys in 17x7. Deep down, they were the ones that I really wanted - thanks for identifying them Baggy. I made a mistake in my spreadsheet before, and having corrected it, they'll actually cost £30 less overall - if I've got my import duty figure right. Fingers crossed on that... It should be 2.5% of the purchase price and shipping... with VAT on top of the lot. Shipping was a very reasonable £84 btw. The order is in and paid for now anyway, so too late to go back! They're in stock, so delivery is only going to be delayed by the postal strike. I should still have them by early Jan though. Merry Christmas Seigfried!
