This isn't the place for a debate about this. You had to be there to appreciate it! But (in case I am missing something) why would it help me to raise the downpipe slowly? I just want the ba5tard thing up there as high as possible, surely?!

That is how I did mine when I changed my exhaust. Raising it slowly all the way was the easiest way for me. Used my strength guiding it to the right place, instead of pushing it upwards

OK thank you very much - I think I see now... I may have to have a different look at it tomorrow, bearing in mind the possibility that I may have aimed it badly. Grrrrr.
