I suppose the seller must seriously think it is worth 2 grand, as he/she has advertised it at that price a couple of times, both on eBay and C&C. Perhaps it is just what the motor car owes the seller - maybe having paid too much for it in the first place? Sometimes one just has to cut one's losses. I think this motor car has a current MoT, so it is worth something, but it would be at the bottom of the rough cars pile. Alan

I see the £15,000 960 executive has now been reduced to £13,000.

Here's a very pretty '87 240GL saloon with a clean history:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1987-Volv...-127635-2958-0 However the asking price (8k) is, IMHO, double what they could conceiveable get for it. And that's probably double again what it's cost them, including those godawful replacement hubcaps. It is pretty though. The bits they show... |

Only 'factory' in that that they're what Volvo will sell you now for 14" steelies. That car should have the cover with the spikes (nla and not common secondhand) and the large steel centre (£30 each, ffs) so I can see why it's had those put on to sell it. Any set of alloys would look better though.
I'm not a fan, they say halfords replacement for blob car to me, Volvo logo notwithstanding. Apologies to any readers who've purchased a set, but really.... |
