If anyone has anything they want to raise re: the future of meets please feel free to write 'em down and bring along. I know Andy's doing the Hotel, sounds like the same sloppy response I got as well. In any event, I say arrive in their car park and take it from there if needs be! Volvos aren't easy to push by hand
I'm thinking we'd probably want to get going drivies pretty sharpish when we all do meet, not much light beyond 4 p.m. I'm thinking of bringing along me pro. camcorder, can delegate to anyone who's into it on the day ( just don't drop it! ) to get a bit of youtube friendly footage. So here we are, a few days to go and lots of names and a nice spread of cars. I'm going to have a chat with Andy re: electing positions within the club, and it looks like we really have something going here into the future. Good photo's can be emailed on to relevant mags. / websites to further things for future meets. Damn, that sounds political At least I've refrained from saying "going forward" throughout ... Cheers, Tony.

I'll be driving the N7 and joining the M7 momentarily then exiting at the N8 fly-over. As you approach Portlaoise town center (ahem...willage!) you'll see a little roundabout and if I remember correctly there's a cinema or Dunnes Stores shop to the right of it. I have also mentioned this to Rich (Galaxie390) so maybe we can meet in the car park and take it from there...

Since my car is best suited to back roads I will be heading north from east Cork going cross country and coming out in civilisation in Cahir. I will then be heading up the N8 from there. I will be passing through Durrow, but since Portlaoise is not too far further we might as well meet up there, otherwise we could be waiting around twice. Although we might meet on the road! Quote:

Now, the weather; Christ almighty I hope the monsoon conditions ease off before the weekend. Heavy flooding in the Rebel County at the moment! But I am determined to make it. Our cars are Swedish after all and not flimsy little Italian things. Or even French.....oohh dont get me started...lol And finally, sorry about the long post. This is especially for Tony: a mad grinning smiley.... See ye soon lads, Hugh.
