With reference to my auxiliary heater not starting from the app first time and then shutting down to conserve battery.

Volvo have responded to dealer, needs software updates and resets, in next Tues.
For info: battery low warning level is set at 70% for some reason on the XC90.

Still enjoying the car although niggles a bit frustrating.

I am hoping that with the instructions just being issued by Volvo 2 days ago to the dealer that that has been taken into consideration.

Today after 4 trips totalling 68 minutes and 33.5 miles S/S system still not working, would have thought if it was DPF this sort of mileage would have cleared it. on the upside though Voc RES did work first thing this morning so the car was nice and warm to get into.

No idea, this was after the dealer had asked Volvo about a solution to the problem I was having.

My XC60 reported battery warnings that didn't fit - I wasn't doing many short runs. After living with it (and being paranoid about the kids leaving lights on etc) for a couple of weeks the dealer updated some software and it hasn't reported the false error since.

The car always started and never showed physical symptoms of a flat battery failing, apart from the warning itself. The dealer wasn't surprised when I reported it.

My car was delivered 1week ago, I did one trip to Norwich from London
Since then the car has been left parked at home
Today I wanted to use it for a short trip
No response when using the key, cant even unlock the car. Battery seems completely dead.
Doors won't open, nothing comes up.
The only thing that opens is the boot, go figure.
Now wanting for Volvo assistance. Not feeling overly confident for my trip to the alps this weekend....
Great start to my ownership.

Looks like you have the battery issue then, you'll find all the info you need in here to pass to your dealer to get it fixed. So long as you drive the car at least once in a 24 hour period while you in the alps you should be fine. If you're unsure then take a jump starter battery from somewhere like Halfords as a backup. If you don't use it you could always return it when you get back.

Shame it sounds like a permanent fix isnt out yet!

I feel your pain. Mine was delivered on 1/3/16 (a year ago tomorrow) and was trailered away by a recovery company the same day with complete failure to boot up the drive system..... I had only done 20 miles from the dealer to work....
