At the moment I can't see how to erase codes but it might be because I have installed on a Windows 7 laptop not XP SP3.
Curious....Can you give us an update?

I have been on another forum and it appears that Win7 is most likely the reason I get no option to erase codes.

I'm currently trying to source a laptop with XP and SP3.

Just a suggestion, but why dont you run XP as a virtual machine/application within Windows7 ...... or old skool ... Dual boot Windows7 and Windows XP ..... saves aquiring another laptop, assuming you have the space.

Hope it helps

Hi Banzai
I also got this from same place you did. However, when i try to set up the computer settings i dont get an option for the DICE configuration it just shows a screen with system tab and under that : VIDA subscription ends in 1 days > Deregister local client.
then has a VIN decoding on/off tick box. There should be other menu tabs with communication tool (DICE) and VIN settings that i dont have.
My install is on windows XP.
I have checked the DICE works using the diagnostic utility so pretty sure that is ok.
I installed the s/w ok and ran the patch, not sure what else to try.

I finally wnet and purchased the Autel maxidiag and it works fine on a 2001 spec S80 2.0 turbo petrol. I eliminated the codes and turned off the MIL light. now waiting for a fault.

Can not say it falls into the cheap catogery as it was £290.

Can I also have the link for the Autel diagnostics reader? My car has started throwing fault codes so I really need one!

Thanks!

This is the link to where I purchased it.

No problem and I called by phone and the chap was knowledgeable. He had a lot of diagnostic equipment and if you talk to him he will suggest the best for your vehicle. when i said I needed a code reader for the engine plus airbag systems and auto gearbox he told me only the MAXIDAIG will do. Either he is good or a good sales man. I have yet to use these, air bag and auto gearbox, as no faults in the auto or airbags so no comment.

I have since used the reader to show me the thermostat was gone. Engine was running at 77 degrees and now, with a new thermostat, is back up to 90.

So far I recommend the chap, but do spell your address as my reader got lost for a week, in the post, as he had misspelt the address.
