RE: RICA 280 vs. 304
>Awesome and entertaining thread :)
> ) It got massive very quicky, only thing is I don't have broadband yet (BT's inability to get an engineer to me within a month) and I have to make a cup of tea everytime I wait for the page to download. In my original post, as the topic starter, I did not want this to turn into Rica vs. TME! Thats gone for a burton now, hasn't it!!

So they are for new cars then as stated by hamish....saying Rica did the software for a T5R in 1995-96? Ah seems you have answered this before anyhow. Quote "Well, the car came out in 1995 and the upgrade was available in 1995. Therfore I cannot see how it's possible to develop this on anything other than a new car." So this implies that all the figures quoted on your web site are for NEW cars..... A simple Yes or No will do as an answer. Regards Iain

>His silence is noted in that he cannot and will not back >anything he states with fact. (IMO) Probably because he doesn't have to; you've had answers to your question, supported with facts, from owners with RICA tuned cars. In any case, you've made your opinion of Don very clear in the past so expecting him to respond following your comments might just be a little optimistic :-) |

Not again Adam please don't avoid the question. Are the figures on your website for new cars? A simple YES or No will do or don't you know? Or if you wish are the figures for the T5R on your site for a new car? Regards Iain

RE: RICA 280 vs. 304
A new car wouldnt give the best results as the engine would still be tight. I've had numerous new vans at work and they can take up to 20k miles before they reach their peak.

RE: RICA 280 vs. 304
I'm guessing Adam does not want to answer my simple question since he has visited the forums and has not bothered to reply. I will take that the T5R map is indeed for a new car as stated by Hamish. If this is the case I suggest you change your website to reflect this.
Adam if this is not the case please can you let me know. Regards Iain

RE: RICA 280 vs. 304
Well done Adam nice addition to your Website.
Congratulations on adding: "Please note that the actual post-upgrade power and torque figures will vary depending on many factors, including the age and condition of your car." And has also answered my question put to you. That the figures you quote are for new or nearly new cars. Thanks Regards Iain
