Stop letting Volvo work on your car - they are charging way too much for guess work. Get someone on here with vida to read the codes, then we can help with diagnosis & fixing the problem.

I know it's not what you want to hear but you've been clutching at straws from the start someone needs to lock this thread. It isn't constructive as you have done nothing to help your situation. You have no legal case. You have not followed the required complaint process. You're dead in the water.

If you went to shark straight away I'm sure they would have discussed a refund but you didn't. When I had my car mapped by Celtic tuning they offered a 14day cooling off period where I could have the car returned to standard and get a full refund, I'm sure shark would have if you told them about it right away.

Give up before you spend more time and money on this.

If you want a specialist opinion speak with HLM tuning, they have worked on mine before and really know their stuff with these cars and the 2.0d engines. A mate also had his mapped by them (videos on YouTube).

Not sure they would have, given that doesn't seem to be their standpoint. I like the 14 day cooling off period offered by Celtic tuning though - sounds a very sensible way to do business, especially in cases like this - or rather to avoid cases like this.

I cant believe that you haven't taken car back to shark ......im sure they have a dyno .......that can read live data to pin point the fault real time rather than Volvo plugging in to read tickover values if shark write their own maps im sure he can read live data better than a Volvo technician of average ability ....when I was in the trade years ago ,any problematic cars went to local rolling road and they sorted as they could load engine exactly without worrying about traffic and speed limits ....and it was way cheaper

so my advice is have a good xmas then get on phone and arrange something...im sure this would be beneficial to both parties

Having read through this thread I get the impression that by ignoring the many (and oft repeated) sensible suggestions from everyone (including Shark) the OP simply wants to carry on complaining and slagging off Shark rather than admit he's the author of his own misfortune and take any of the advice as to how to get things sorted!

Hi Yalrafai,

Yesterday, I was having drinks with the senior legal partner in the firm in the city where I am a financial controller and ran your case past him. He is a big car boffin and changes his cars every six months, from Audi S5 to 911 GT3 and MB C63.

his judgement may have been a bit impaired due to the drink but he had a look at this thread and simply replied:

" Yalrafai from the start seem to have gone out of his way to try to discredit Shark publicly instead of following what would have been reasonable action by a reasonable person to try and resolve the problem with Shark. Yalrafi has chosen to do so before having definitive confirmation of what is the malfunction and what caused it. Maybe Yalrafi has something to hide i.e. Incorrect/ incomplete service history like failing to change fuel filter or fap fluid/reset on time or at all"

He also mentioned:

"If there is even a single post anywhere on public domain by someone who says that he/she changed their mind about using Shark based on this thread here, shark will have a strong case against Yalrafi in court for deformation of character and loss of income"

Although I feel for you that your car isn't as good as it should be at the moment, It seems that you have been digging yourself into a hole from the beginning by not allowing Shark to look at the problem with your car much sooner, having two other garages work on your car with regards to this problem (no telling if they improved or made things worse as unable to give you definitive read out of what is actually wrong with your car at the moment) and also ambiguity over whether major service items like fap fluid change/reset and fuel filter change have been done?

Tbh, I don't see how your thread is adding value to this community at the moment. All it is telling me is that you don't like Shark without actually telling us what they have done wrong, because you yourself do not know what is wrong with your C30. You just use the timeline to assign blame on to Shark without showing concrete proof and without been able to have a credible third party source to back you up. Please do not take it the wrong way, as everyone here would love to know what truly happened with your car so that we can apply the lessons here on our motors but at the moment it feels that you are relieving your frustration on to Shark because time wise it is convenient.

Hi people when i had my car remapeed ( volvo c30 d5 by shark ) as soon as i left them engine management light turned on. I was fuming saying Shark is at fault so i called them as always crew at shark was very helpful and tried to help as much as they could. when i took my car locally it turned out my EGR valve was busted, there you go NOT THEIR FAULT but i was convinced that they damaged it. They know what they doing . I had and automatic and i was informed that i shouldn't go high with torque etc and i shouldn't take limiter of first and second gear. Everything was done in nice pleasant atmosphere i was informed about potential problems. So from my experience i can say that there was underlying problem with your car and you simply prefer to blame shark.

Shark - you are making this so much worse than it needs to be. This is currently a 'loose loose' for you.

From a business point of view, it does not matter if it's your fault or not. Your reputation is dying here... every time a potential customer Googles you, this topic will appear. It will take Google a few weeks to re sample the site and then this will top the search results. Potential customers are going to run a mile, they just won't take the risk.

The Sarcastic replies and convenient new member comments just make you look like a bunch of cowboys. You need to bite the bullet and close this down before your business reputation dies.
