Great photos and a great restoration by Italian craftsmen,
great vehicle engineers too, anyone who has owned a Lancia sports car knows what I mean

I have no time for playing. Car sat from beginning of July… a few days ago I managed to spend a few hours with it. Needless to say engine started first crank…

Some really nice pictures there; and the buildings you've photographed look pretty as well.
But, please, tell me you didn't eat that sandwich at the wheel!

Quick update. 3000 miles trouble free.
However after a long trip, 500 miles, the steering pump has started leaking. Luckily I was 2 miles from home so no trouble. I have soon realised the pump was at least 30 years old It looked fine and nobody thought to replace it including me. It was at least 10 years nobody turn the engine on and seals were probably shagged. Been lucky it didn t give up before. Best bit of the oldy there is one single belt driving the pump, it would have not stopped my trip. just made it heavy to park. Pump replaced and the mech noticed it s the same as the reanult clio from the 90s. Very cheap and abundant on the market. |

Time to sort engine temperature. It doesn’t warm up as it should and not much warm air coming through. Temperature sensor works fine so does the thermostat.
Under the bonnet is the B20 engine. Didn’t trust Volvo engineers and decided to install a late 1993 240 radiator and fan. Might be too large for the b20? Any idea why doesn’t warm up? Even at 75mph on the motorway during a 40 Celsius hot day! |
