I'm not sure about the registration fee and road tax, I'd be interested to know that myself.
But the delivery fee is £455 (at least mine is), is compulsory and will be included in your final price.

May I ask you; in what way are you trying to unravel the pricing? My dealer has given me very clearly laid out printed order form, clearly showing each element of the order and what it cost.

Default Brochure prices!

The 2.4 D4 I have ordered and wanted will clearly not be able to be supplied to me now as the engine size has changed considerably .So I presume eventually some re negotiations will be necessary when the final specifications and prices lists are officially produced for the D3 XC60

I have been quoted on the 2.4 XC60 list prices as in the last 17.5% vat brochure less discount plus delivery charge and plus road tax /first registration charge

I am wondering if they were in the original brochure price anyway especially the delivery charge

Yes £455 delivery on top sorry should have mentioned that

No. Tax, registration and delivery charge (also the fact that unless you want a white car the paint will set you back another £600) are not mentioned in the brochure.

I am not sure what you are getting at here as the last column in the price list is clearly labelled "on the road" and includes delivery & road tax etc.

Unfortunately there is a new first year increased road tax government charge on all registrations from the 1st April which you will presumably need to pay and if it is a new order then the price list is for My2010 cars & not My2011. Anything could change in the budget next Wednesday.

We are all waiting for the My2011 price list!

I wonder if the dealer has included paint/interior protection in the quote - when I was looking at offers this time last year, at least one dealer did this, and only admitted to it when I pointed out his starting price (before discount) was a few hundred pounds higher than the other dealers' prices.

Does the Volvo Official price list with on the road prices include the delivery charge ?
Also does the on the road price include first registration fee and first years road tax in that final OTR figure?
OTR includes delivery, plates, registration and first year's VED (I'm a cyclist and don't like referring to it as road tax).

Depending on when you ordered it, I suspect it may not include showroom tax which comes into force soon.

Default pricing

I have been costed in the order the base price in the brochure ex excluding vat (say £23,195.74excliding vat for a drive SE)

minus my discount

plus vat

Plus an extra £455 delivery plus vat on delivery

Plus a total extra £205 (for first years road tax £150 plus first registration £55 )

I’m getting at wondering if the delivery charge (especially) and road fund licence are extra to the quoted “on the road prices” or not!

That seems right to me. You have paid list (without VAT) price for your car then got your discount & VAT added to the net figure. They have then added delivery (with its VAT) & registration/ road tax charges which are not subject to VAT & on which you do not get discount.

Where is the problem?
