security wheel nuts
Hi Gatos have you tried hammering an old socket on to the nut use one slightly smaller than is needed and the shock of hammering can aid the loosening of the nut so you can undo nut normal way its worth a try hope this helps

Hey Pete. I could do that, but the problem is that I don't have a large enough socket. This security nuts are the larger ones, not the older smaller ones and I would need a 22-24 socket. I got 2 of them out so I need to take one to the shop and get the right socket.

No problem. I think I still have them somewhere. You can have them for free, just pay for the postage. PM me your address and let me know if you want it 1st or 2nd Class and recorded or standard.

In post 83 you show the fittings for the dog guard, do you thinks you can remove these from your car? If so how much do you want for them?
Also what condition are the gas struts for the boot door in? Does is shut smoothly or drop like a brick once started shutting, if they are still good how much? Many thanks Chris |
