I am not doing it. A friend of a friend will do it. I will let you know.

No it is not. We thought the turbo was blown, as it was blowing smoke at +2000 revs. When we removed the turbo, we found out that nothing was wrong with it. We sent it to a guy to check it, and maybe recondition it and clean it.

Yes. Have both. But you can have the ABS from the other car I have as it has a lot less miles on it.

What you after for it in its current condition? I was going to recondition it and fit it for piece of mind as theyre common to fail.

Edit: Meant to say- you can rarely see knackered turbo seals, i recently done a 2.2 DTI vectra turbo that had sooked in so much oil it blew the engine to pieces, with the turbo out- it looked fine- but the seals were obviously gone!

That would be great. I'll take it if no one else has their name on it.

I was just reading back through the thread and see there are differences with the air-con compressor part numbers (no surprise there ). I need one for a '98 car so I suppose we'll have to get photos to see if there are any physical differences between them.

At the moment it is with a friend of a friend (up in Birmigham) who reconditions turbos. The guy has already opened it up and he said it seems fine, but we were thinking of reconditioning it anyway and keep it as spares. Siamblue is looking for a Diesel, so if the right one comes up, he will have it. Once we check that it is fine and that we dont need the Turbo, then it will be for sale. I have also kept most of the Diesel parts (injectors, high pressure fuel pump, and other bits I am not even sure what they are) as spares for my car. I will let you know what we decide about it.

Liam, I am pretty certain they are different. I checked the compressor of a 2001 1.8 and the one from the Diesel and they were different. See photo of the 1.9D compressor

I remember looking for one sometime ago and there were many different ones. See here for the long list

Ok, I'll try do some additional homework in relation to the compressor.

Do you still have the one from the 1.8 petrol?

stewyp1983 has asked for it first so he has first pick. If not, then it is yours.

I might keep the Diesel one for my car as a spare.
