I've been told (last week, when I called the dealer about getting a loan car to tide me over until the big day) that mine is still saying 27th August delivery to dealer, which will be good for 1st September pick up. Interestingly he also still asked me if I would like it earlier if it comes in before - so it seems that nothing is immovable!
Still almost 2 weeks to go until that date though, so I'd say don't panic till next weekend. They are only coming from Belgium - so its a 2 day transfer from factory to dealer (according to my other half - don't know where he got that info from tho). Not long now! I did nip into a (different) dealership last weekend, just to remind myself of what I bought all those long 6 months ago |

XC60 Delay
Now you all have me worried. I ordered a D3 on May 31st and was expecting Sept 1st delivery. I haven't been given an exact date by the dealer but it sounds like I shouldn't be getting too excited about my Sept 1st delivery!

You could be lucky - a lot of the delays are down to the factory closure in July/August.
Your dealer should be able to tell you the scheduled delivery date by now though... |

I ordered May 18th and after 3 date revisions now have an unconfirmed date of September 24th (about 18 weeks)

Just spoken to dealer and my date is showing as 27th Sept so (if correct) that will have been a 17 week lead time. This seems to be in line what others are saying but way off the 8-12 weeks quoted by the dealer. At least I have a trade in deal so I can carry on running that into the ground at Volvo's expense! |

That's rubbish news for you - and what I hate is that the dealers don't seem to be forthcoming with the delay information until pressed. When I first heard there may be a delay (via this forum) it took 3 calls and an email to the dealer to find out, to be told in a one-line email that I'd be waiting another 3 months. No apology or explanation.
Still - in the 6 months I've been waiting my trade in has a good few thousand extra miles on the clock, with the same trade in value, and I'm getting the newer registration plate, which will give me a couple of thousand more in residual value. |

To date my dealer has been very forthcoming with information and details, well so far. I'm hoping that they are just really busy and haven't forgot us. I too have a car that's a few months older now and worth the same as in April. |

I am also glad I got a fixed price trade in back in May as the value of my current Landrover has dropped conciderably over the last few months (it will also have around 4000 more miles than it would have with the orignal date).
My only concern at the moment is the imminent launch of the new XC60 dashboard (same as the S60) as I suspect this may well impact resale values on cars of a simialr age that have the old style dash with the pod. Rumour has it that the new style will start shipping in early November which is only a month from when I will take delivery. |
