Thanks everyone for your suggestions. South West London was the area we were looking at ideally - along the A3 potentially. Cheers

I agree, I only took my S60 to them for servicing, but they forgot to put the new tyres on I asked for, they changed the brake pads but not the worn out discs, nor could they sort out the knocking on the suspension which turned out to be a worn out droplink, however I find the sister company in Bedford are chalk and cheese in comparison, never had a problem and have had lots of customer service so far.

Cheers,
Pip

Hi. First post because I have just bought a S60 T5. It's just under 3 years and needs a service so better use a main garage for warranty etc. I'm just north of Bristol and looking through these threads MRG Chippenham could be good?
Thanks

MRG are very good and have an excellent reputation. Many members travel from far and wide to use them rather than their local dealer. They also offer discounts on their servicing and parts, etc There's a sticky of the latest offer to the forum on the 'Members discounts on parts and services' section.

Cheers,

Finbo

Hi all, I own 2 volvo 1995 850 T5s, One has a major knock on engine which i will be stripping for donor car. The other has numerous faults (oil leak somewhere on rear of engine, and a few lights on dash i.e. Tracs and abs) I am not the most mechanically minded person in the world so i am looking for a mechanic or a trustworthy garage in my area to do some work on the car. I live in Bedlington near Newcastle. If any one could recommend a good garage or mechanic close to me i would be grateful. Richie

yes, they're now just a Citroen dealer, though do do Volvo work - had the wife's C70 MoT there last Friday (£35). Had some warrantry work done there on my S80 when there were a full Volvo dealer a couple of years back.

MRG certainly recommended, as other posts, and their prices are lower than all dealers I've used before. Johnsons at Gloucester I've used and found fair.
