Thanks I can now at least type in the box. I copyied the one that was in the c drive to the d drive and then ran it as admin again and it worked.
Now what user name should I be using? Last edited by owenfackrell; May 21st, 2014 at 23:02. |

It won't be the problem, does the VIDA icon down in the sys tray (bottom right by the clock), does this icon go green? If not then you still have some sort of problem with either install or the patch.

The icon is green. I might wipe it all and start again.

Have you done windows updates??
I'm just wondering if you've allowed .net 4 and .net 4.5 to install? If these have installed you should uninstall them and then it should work. It is also woth making sure you have the latest version of Java - LINKY! |

I have an all blue version DICE, not used it for a while. Came to use it today and it just will not work. two of the blue less are lit, but nothing is recognised. I uninstalled the Dice driver etc. But not have the CP2102 USB to something something thing!
Is there another one people recommend to buy which works perfectly and can be updated easily? |

No not done any updates. It's a fresh instal of windows. Not checked which version of java I have. At the moment there is nothing installed on the laptop other than VIDA and any program's that it instals so I would have to instal a wifi driver.

If I ever re-do mine I always install the following:
Fresh install of OS (XP, Win7 or Win8) Install all relevant drivers (from manufacturers website e.g Dell, Sony, HP etc...) especially Chipset, graphics, LAN + relevant others. Bring laptop fully up to date with Windows updates (EXCLUDING .net 4 and .net 4.5) Ensure Internet Explorer is on newest version available Install Adobe Flash Install Adobe Shockwave Install Adobe Reader Install Java Do a final reboot Install VIDA (Usually copy contents of DVD to Desktop and run install from there). Install Patch Reboot login to VIDA Add VIDA to 'Compatibility View Settings' in Internet Explorer Close VIDA/Internet Explorer Re-Open VIDA Enjoy! Last edited by SonyVaio; May 23rd, 2014 at 02:58. |
