844 miles so far and no messages or low dipstick mark on my D3.
Will wait until the magic 1000 miles b/4 I vote.

Me too, I'm up to around 750, so not too long.

No doubt both your new release cars would come with the appropriate updated software. It would be very disappointing if you had any problems in this respect.

Please keep us informed.

Bob are getting chance to do some longish trips or are you mainly on shortish trips? Be nice to hear from someone doing short trips having no trouble with oil levels

Actually most of my trips ARE short ones (to local customers etc) with a couple of longer ones thrown in (20 odd miles or so). I usually try and gun it on the longer trips in the hope that it is regenerating (fingers crossed )

So far so good

As someone has mentioned before I'm not sure if gunning it will have the desired effect. It seems to regen when it wants not when at the time that you gun it.

I ran mine in vigorously, shall we say, and after 325 I got the soot filter full message. To get rid of the message, I drove normally for 15 mins at a steady pace 60-70. Get eveything up to heat without the need for gunning it.

My travel is about 11 miles x 2, with 10 mins each way which is at 70mph. Since I have a nice new car I plan on using it, so we've been going out at the weekends maybe 100miles plus at least on a Sunday.

Understood.

I'll just keep driving around and see what happens.

Yeah it's funny how all of a sudden you want to go out somewhere, whereas you'd probably be doing something else at home.

We found the same when we first got our XC60. It is such a pleasure to drive again.

I am grinning every time I drive it - and I do like showing people the powered tailgate :-)
