And surprisingly (HAHAHA) theres still no sign of the report on my car yet...... And they wonder why people dont trust big companies!!! Tell you any old crap to get you to shut up and put up!!! Well looks like the next step is the papers with the whole sorry tale from Doves selling an 03/08 as 09 new (I have the email from salesman confirming MY09 model) to the car trying to kill me and me oap mother twice now along with the other faults that disappear and reappear. Any suggestions for the best ones to approach gratefully received.

If you specified MY09 and they supplied MY08 then you have them on breach of contract.

Just had it back to the dealers today after the drivers dor lock failed again 2 days after picking it up. The never fitted the modified door latch to the lock even though they had it for 5 weeks. Wouldnt specify if it was a VCUK decision not to replace under the no faults found or if it was an over sight. New modified door latch now being fitted next Friday.

So far its not too bad. It isnt as lively and smooth as the loan car. Was told the power loss was "possibly" down to some valve as it causes the symptoms described when its going wrong but they didnt replace it though. Have only done about 30 miles since I got it back and apart from having to go through the palaver to get it to lock it seems to be doing ok. Was hoping to get away with the caravan this weekend but with the short notice of getting back my car I couldnt get a site. The knocking noise is still there under throttle even though 3 other mechanics have heard it the VCUK engineer COULDNT hear it. Going to take it for a run tomorrow and see how it does out the road. STILL never had the report on what they did to the car! Not that i'm surprised by that.

Well thats the gearbox gone tits up again today. Lasted 6 days from when I got it back. Doing 50mph in 5th around 2000rpms and lifted off and into neutral we go again. Same as before. Got Mum to reach over and take pics of it so they cant dispute it this time. Emailed GCR Sweden to try and get them to get the report issued to me but got back the stock reply referring me back to VCUK. Fed up of the whole thing now. Can see court being the only recourse now!!!

Seems that it's high time it was sorted out, and properly.

Is it a manual, or a slusher?

Its Geartronic. I cant drive a manual for long as ive a disability that affects my left leg. I can go down to the shops with Mums c30 and back and thats about it the pain gets too much for further.

Had the power loss twice since the start of the week too.

Just wish id never even thought about coming back to Volvo to be honest.
