It's been a while and I'm not sure if anyone's interested but I've just changed my front tyres, as they'd got down to 3mm, after 34500 miles, which isn't bad at all. The rears still have 5-6mm on them. These things go on for ever!

I hope you've moved the new tyres to the rear of the car!!!!! If not then Google why you should.

Actually I did - I learned about this a couple of years ago. The people in the tyre place in Penrith thought I was weird enough for getting rid of the old tyres when they still had nearly 3mm left on them as it was - me asking them to swap the wheels so the new tyres were on the rear was almost too much for them to handle!
