Default Dual circuit calipers

I forgot to say, I am breaking an Amazon 131 spares car, including the dual circuit servo/master cylinder, front calipers and rear cylinders. These are off a 1969 131 which was on the road until April this year and was working well when the wheels were removed 2 weeks ago. If you are interested email me tim_coates@hotmail.com

The 2 front pistons in each caliper work on 1 circuit and the rear pistons work on the other. If the heavy wear is, say, local to the front pistons on both sides, that is the circuit that is doing all the work along with one rear brake. That would be testable if the brake system was still intact as only one rear would lock when you applied the brake with the rears off the ground.

Just a quick update. I cleaned up the calipers and resprayed them so they look a lot better now. I replaced the pads with new ones.

I did both of the tests suggested by Peter and Derek and I'm pretty sure that both circuits are working as expected, so my conclusion is that it is not a problem with the master cylinder.

I made sure that I bled the brakes with the warning valve out and got a good, hard pedal. I'm about 100 miles in now and everything seems to be working well.

So, in summary, don't forget to remove the warning valve when bleeding dual circuit brakes!

Many thanks to everyone for your help and advice. It is much appreciated!
