Default Just got the suspension welded!!

Dear All

The suspension mounts in the rear had broken free from the bodywork/chassis. The metal appears to have sheared, my garage welded it and reattached the susupension mount.

You might want to drop the rear seats and shine a torch under the boot floor to look for hairline stress cracks. My car was built in 1994 so is 17 yrs old, I wonder if this is a age related issue or just one off? I did over 5000 miles in August through Europe and encountered some poor roads in Romania perhaps these were the cause of the cracks.

I remember a recall on the bodywork of early 850 estates relating to stress on the body work near the rear wheel arch, does anyone have the details of this?

Thanks
Matt
