Swapping the front and rear wheels would confirm/discount this I'd imagine.

For my twopennyworth.
Tell the dealer you are going to reject the car, and write to Volvo Car UK.
If you are a VOC member, quote your membership number.

Some good and valid ideas have been suggested here, but hey!
You just spent a sizeable wad of money, and the car is not right, why should you be telling the dealer how to fix it?

May I ask which Dealer?
PM me if you don't want to go public.

Hi all......further update to report. Finally got the car back to the original dealer, which seems to have paid dividends.....I did discuss make them aware I would be looking for a replacement vehicle if this could not be resolved.
They have finally, hopefully recitifed the problem.....after all the issues and various sets of new discs and pads, the problem was diagnosed as a warped wheel hub. I suppose this makes sense considering the new discs seemed to cure the problem for a few weeks but all they were doing was doing was warping against the bad hub over the course of time.
So the car has had a new hub, new discs, pads and a replacement alloy on the back which was warped as well.
The car feels totally different to drive now.....although it was fixed before it never did feel right, but it does now.....I guess time will tell.
Thanks for all the advice, I appreciate it.........but taking the car back to the original dealer seems to have been worth the 250 mile trip........
fingers crossed eh...

Paul

Interesting reading, thank you. It sounds like a curious problem to have, particularly as you seem to have had a warped wheel as well as a warped hub. Given that you are the 2nd owner (as I've surmised from your original post) is it possible the car had had a whack (before you bought it) on that front side where you've had the problem?
