Default DIM bulbs

Hi, taged this on the end of another post so apologies for repeating myself.

Since buying my s80 the DIM has not worked, but noticed a faint display so I presumed the bulbs had gone. Took the thing to bits to get to display and found no bulbs or holders. Had anyone got the part codes or details for the bulbs and holders ? It has Green printed on the PCB so I am presuming that thay are different to the Grey, Blue and Black ones in the rest of the display.
Cheers for any info Col.

Also is it safe to un-hook the battery, I'm not sure about radio codes and all the computer gubbins ect.

Cannot tell you anything about the DIM or bulbs. Battery disconnect/reconnect must follow Volvo procedure. Essentially, wait at least 5 minutes after ignition off before disconnecting Negative lead first. When reconnecting ignition key must be in position 2 to avoid electrical transients damaging the electronics. (The above is well documented throughout this forum, use search.) There is no radio code, the units are signatured to the car and therefore cannot easily be installed in any other. Hope this helps.

The DIM bulbs for the green display are only available from Volvo Stealers, They come with the small holder ready attached and the last I bought cost over £4.00 each but that was several years ago. As previously stated, the radio is programed to your cars main computer and has no code.
