code for radio

Hi All
I have just bought a H reg volvo740SE with original Volvo radio.
I need to put in the code for this, previous owner cant remember it.
Any help appreciated, before I have to replace it.

If the radio is the one fitted from new, a Volvo dealer should be able to look it up from a database if given the VIN No and proof of ownership.

Have you got a volvo travellers guide in your folder with your Handbook. If you have look in the back page you will find a form that you can fill out and send back for a volvo owners card and this should have the code.Hope this helps
