Thumbs up window wont go up? the solution ;-)

My daughter put the rear passenger window down and it wouldn't go back up again today.... made it home before the rain started and then started taking the door apart.

Having removed the internal skin, the speaker (to get to the bolts on the motor panel) found that the silver panel was stuck.

Couldn't get in there, had the door in several pieces before coming to this forum... yes, I know it should have been my first port of call, but anyway... I found a couple of threads with various suggestions about cleaning contacts on the switches, front and back... did all that and still couldn't close the window ;-(

Finally, it clicked that the other rear window worked ok!

Ka-ching!

I swapped the working switch for the one that wasn't working and closed the window no problem. Took about two minutes after trying for two hours on other solutions that weren't working.

So.... it seems sometimes a little lateral thinking goes a long way.... and thank you to fellow forum members for the suggestions
