If you take the seller at his word, it has zero rust, 98% good paint and has been well maintained. So I'd say it's worth buying - if you want a 2.0 saloon 240.

£600 may be a little strong, but that is the asking price; maybe he would negotiate.

Of course, vewing is essential to verify the condition.

It's been advertised for 6 days now, had 3 (what I thought were serious) expressions of interest and not heard a thing from any of them over the last couple of days.

I know it's white, automatic and a 2 litre but surely, if someone wants a good 240, you just have to compromise on some of these issues as I did. I also drove to south London and back for it on the same night.

It's a great example for peanuts. I love white ones and the two litre and auto issues are irrelevant. The buyer of a car like this isnt going to be doing any hard driving, more likely hard polishing.

One of those serious expressions was from me earlier this week - I just have been so busy at work since that I've not had time to draw breath, let alone think about a car! Andy's car looks great in the photos, plus his description sounds really honest and straightforward.

So, a public apology to Andy from me for not having followed up. I would like to see the car. Hopefully I'll get around to arranging that over the weekend - unless someone beats me to it of course! It does look to be in excellent order.
