MY2000 V70 Towbar Electrics
Hi all,
Can anyone confirm that the 2" square 'lighting control' box that I've found in the boot to the nearside is the box that I can lever out the cover and plug in a towbar electrics connector? If so, anyone know where I can get a connector? Thanks Martin

Well mine is a MY1999 & I only have one box under the floor panel on the N/S/R & thats the bulb failure warning box it's written on the box. My V70 don't have the plugs anywhere in the boot/luggage area Simon Deathrider's is the same no plugs to be found. I have wired mine through a 7 Way bypass relay connected into the loom in front of the bulb failure warning box if thats any help to you

Hi Jim, yes, I was about to scotchlock it all until I cam across this box. It does say 'lamp control' on it but it does seem to have an option to slide in an additional connection into it. I think I'll just go with the scotchlocks.
Thanks for you help.

Hi all,
A couple of pics of this box attached if anyone can help. I suspect you can lever out the brown endplate and plug in a towbar electrics connector. Can anyone verify this? Thanks Martin

No you can't lever out the cover you refer to it's a sealed unit with no connections behind that cover. As I stated above you need a 7 way bypass relay if there is no other wiring sockets for the Volvo loom to connect to, my 99 V70 doesn't have an other connections/plugs fitted so I used a 7 way relay bought from Halfords it's manufactured by "Ring"
This the relay I used http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165734
