480 no fog's or High Beam on nearside only!

Hello.

I was wondering if anyone had any bright(!) ideas about my 480.
I noticed the full beam on the near side unit wasn't working so I went and bought a bulb. When fitting it I noticed BOTH fillaments were intact in old bulb.

After replaceing it it made no difference. Then I noticed that my fog lights don't work on the nearside either.

I have checked : Fuses and Bulbs which are all ok. I have recently had an alternator and new battery fitted - do you think it could be anything to do with that?

PS where is my CEM? In the haynes it says it's under the bonnet under a cover but in my owners book it shows it behind the bonnet release!

Hi there,

I seem to remember someone saying earlier that the CEM is under the central compartment in the 480, but not sure exactly which model or year that applies for.

In regards to the lights, have you done simple checks such as wiring? It may as simple as a loose connection somewhere. Otherewise, not sure really!!?

Thanks for the reply I will get voltmeter and have a go but I am considering an outo-electrician as my MOT is up at the end of the month.

Will update if I find anthing of any use.
