Sorry to resurrect this thread. A few weeks ago whilst at the dealers for a recall service for my 2008 V70, I asked if it's possible to have two rear fog lights. Answer is no and that's that. Very short sighted of Volvo because it cannot be safe to drive in fog in euroland with one rear fog light (on the rhd side). I take this car quite often to Germany and France and I do wonder if someone hits my rear-end in fog would I be the one at fault. Other party might claim that my fog light gave the impression I was a motor bike!

Hold my hand up to doing that. Do not want to put the auto box into P and the electronic handbrake is to far to reach...

I find this really difficult - mainly in early morning or in the dark. The Volvos (and many other cars) have really bright rear fog/brake lights.

At the moment, there's roadworks on the A9. They are a long way from streetlit areas.

After a long drive in the dark on the A9, I pull up behind a car at the roadworks, and he's sitting with his foot on the foot brake. The light is really bright to my dark-accustomed eyes.

After setting off again, I am sure my eyes take a while to re-adjust to their night vision.

I think it's a real pain in the bum!

Please be courteous to your fellow drivers!

With you there MartinK - it's just bad manners. What I can't understand is when the guilty drivers pull up behind a car also with the brake lights blazing can't they realise the affect it has. (same with fog lights).

Sometimes I'll just sit further back with full beam on but they don't do anything! Unfortunately if you're too close having main beam on has no effect!
