went out for a ride up the coast today and the clutch is slipping grrrrrrr
called in to a clutch centre near mine and was quoted nearly £500 fitted (kinell) if i cant get a cheaper quote its going to get broken , anybody had any clutch prices lately ?

My wifes 1.8 Vectra had the clutch go back in 2009 and it was £448 so looks like the going rate. The parts were the cheap bit. It was the labour for dropping the front subframe that pushed the price up

If you had a Diesel with a DMF you could end up paying around the £1200 mark as the flywheel could need replacing as well.

Make sure its not a slave cylinder or how its called....
that thing that presses clutch...

Maybe it is failing, or there is low fluid level..(depends on your car)

I've just had the dual mass flywheel/clutch replaced with the earlier "dog dish" flywheel/diesel clutch set-up, on my 940. Cost me £330 at local independant. Considering the 3-piece Sachs clutch alone costs £150ish didn't think it a bad price.
